Pioneered basic and advanced laparoscopic surgery in Karnataka in the fields of GI Surgery, Gynaecology, Urology and Thoracic Surgery.
Pioneered hand assisted laparoscopic surgery for splectomy, colectomy and donor nephrectomy in India, since 1997.
Contributed chapters to the popular textbooks: IAGES text book, clinical GI surgery, laparoscopy in Infertility.
Produced video for IAGES suturing and Knotting courses which are popularly circulated among more than 5000 surgeons.
Authored video books for digital learning on 100 ways of performing laparoscopic Hernia The Good, Bad & the Ugly video book Bariatric & Metabolic Surgery.
Has traveled to several towns and cities across the country training surgeons in laparoscopic surgery as a faculty in several National Fellowship Courses organized by IAGES & AMASI
Established BEST Institute & Research centre which conducts workshops and conferences, skills training courses and Fellowship program in MIS & Bariatric surgery affiliated to Rajiv Gandhi University of Health sciences the first of its kind in the country.
Developed the first ever virtual reality laparoscopic surgery simulator in India in association with DRDO apart from several other innovations.

Trained more than 1000 surgeons , gynecologists and urologists have been trained in the field of laparoscopic surgery from all over India and other countries which include Malaysia, Maldives, Dubai, Bahrain, UK, Australia, West Indies and USA.
Has conducted 5 national level conferences and 4 international conferences, 38 workshops and delivered 96 guest lectures in National and International meets in Laparoscopic surgery.
Has served in the IMA ,IMAAMS, ASI, IAGES, AMASI and other professional associations and occupied various offices in these associations. He is involved in various charitable activities and was a Governing council member of Sri Ramakrishna Mission, Shivanahalli.
